"We hired Hillview Master Builder in 2013/2014 to build our completely custom dream home just outside of Edmonton. We cannot speak highly enough about this company, and all of the Hillview people who worked with us to make our dream a reality. Al, Nathan, and Shane in particular deserve special mention. Throughout the design and building process, we really appreciated Al's enthusiasm and willingness to come up with creative ideas related to the unique features we wanted. He also did not hesitate to advise us when experience told him that we might want to take a different path from the one we were on, which we really appreciate now. Nathan, our site supervisor, was also top notch. Right from day one, we realized that he truly cared about us and our project and he continually exceeded our expectations when it came to being trustworthy and ensuring that we were getting a top quality home. Shane, the finishing carpenter, was exactly the perfectionist and detail-oriented craftsman we wanted, and he created some absolutely beautiful built-in components, including a bar, wine cabinet, and a stunning theatre room, to mention just a few. Especially a completely custom build with unique roof lines and exterior details, there will always be some challenges to deal with. In our case, we had a few issues with the windows being scratched by contract workers and some condensation happening in a couple of small areas on the ceiling related to insulation issues of the complex roof. Each time an issue cropped up, Hillview stood behind their work and bent over backwards to correct everything, even long after the project was finished! This company was terrific to work with. They really care about customer service and their reputation, and it really shows. We would absolutely hire Hillview again if we ever decide to embark on another big project like this.
